New York Times Look out over the Wilmington RiverWalk as you have lunch on the deck at the George on the RiverWalk (128 South Water Street, 910-763-2052), a new place getting rave reviews from the locals for its crab cake ($12) and pork loin pressed Cuban sandwich ($9).

The George on the Riverwalk along the Cape Fear River in downtown Wilmington has 80 feet of dock space and encourages boaters to stay beyond just their meal.

A cozy, retro-modern interior meets one of the best outdoor seating areas around. It’s also downtown Wilmington’s only dock-and-dine restaurant. from: http://www.wilmingtonstar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070524/NEWS/70524005/0/State TripAdvisor.com
In Downtown Wilmington, especially at this time of year, I reccommend The George Restaurant on Water street. They have an outdoor seating area right on the boardwalk next to the river. I had dinner there a few nights ago and it was very pleaseant. The food was good and setting was even better. You have views of the Battleship and the Cape Fear Bridge. While we were there a large ship was heading up river and it was pretty neat. Check it out.
